The Hardest Thing I've Ever Had to Do - Eric Douglas Statzer

What makes my heart twist and turn while it’s sinking, sulking, enduring this burn?  I’ll not resist the power of what makes this love earn.  Give me something let me understand, I’ve been digging myself out of this quicksand, each touch I desire the longer you withstand.  Your affection’s in a glass filled, about to tip and you stand there biting your fucking lip, I’m parched and you know that I just need a sip.  Give me something, turn me inside out, my heart, my mind, my soul, they shout.  Let me get in, just take a chance, I’m dying for more than this meaningless dance.  You’re staring me down, defenseless, such a sad song, tip your glass over and show me you’ve been wrong.  Your tears spilt, floor full of guilt, all that I have built, wasted away to wilt.  I’m all in taking the biggest bet that I’ll let you go first, so damn hard to forget.  You’ll be without me and soon you’ll regret, rolling over me like a summer sunset.
